Neurological precision built for the elite athlete.
You’re the strongest guy in the room. Fastest first step. A genetic beast, built exactly the way scouts dream about. But something’s off. You can’t explain it. You just know you’re not playing to what your body is actually capable of. And neither can anyone else.
Or maybe your problem is smaller than that. A nagging injury nobody else can even see. Not enough to sit you out, but enough that you feel it every time you plant, cut, or land. And you’re terrified it’s only getting worse.
Maybe you’re already great, but great isn’t enough anymore. You’re hunting for that extra half-step nobody else has found yet.
Or maybe the calendar’s the opponent now. You’ve watched guys your age get phased out, not because they lost the skill, but because their body stopped keeping up. You’re not ready for that to be your story.
Here’s what most people miss: none of that lives only in the muscle. It lives in how your brain, your eyes, and your balance are actually talking to your body — under speed, under fatigue, under pressure.
I’m Dr. Ryan Weaver, board-certified in chiropractic neurology, providing concierge, individualized, objective, brain-based care that’s different.
I don’t work with everyone. I take on a couple of athletes a year, because this work is that individualized.

I am able to provide concierge brain-based care and testing to the greater Philadelphia area — and I will come to you.
Three instruments. One picture of the nervous system.
Every athlete who walks in is assessed on the same three instruments — each isolating a different layer of neurological function so subtle deficits, and real recovery, can actually be measured instead of guessed at.
Video Nystagmography
Saccadometry
We don't guess where the deficit lives — we map it.
Every evaluation looks past the joint or the symptom to the systems actually driving performance: cranial and peripheral nerve function, vestibular and ocular-motor pathways, postural control, and the muscular and skeletal chains that carry an athlete's output. Video walkthroughs for each system are being produced and will be embedded here.
26 years measuring what performance coaches can't see.
Dr. Weaver has spent more than two and a half decades in clinical neurological practice, working to give elite and emerging athletes an honest, objective read on how their brain and nervous system are actually performing — not just how they feel.
A private practice, by design. Dr. Weaver is committed to caring for only a few athletes each year. One-on-one care this complex and individualized is naturally limited — every evaluation is built entirely around the athlete in front of us, not a caseload.
What DACNB means. The Diplomate credential is awarded by the American Chiropractic Neurology Board (ACNB), the profession's recognized specialty board in neurology. Earning it requires 300+ hours of post-doctorate training in functional neurology and passing both written and practical board examinations — and every Diplomate must complete ongoing continuing education each year to stay certified.
Trained at the Carrick Institute. Dr. Weaver's training traces back to Dr. Frederick “Ted” Carrick, the pioneer of functional neurology best known for guiding NHL superstar Sidney Crosby through his high-profile concussion recovery — work later examined by ABC News. That same brain-based, function-first approach to diagnostics is the foundation of every evaluation at Weaver Neurosport.
